Good decaf have been hard to come by, with these two, I can finally drink buckets at night if I want to.
Having tried both Nestor Lasso and Wilton Benitez's coffees previously, they are both surprisingly similar to their respective caffinated counterparts.
I prefer the Wilton Benitez, as my preference is towards sweeter, tea like coffees, so this one is a no brainer. I tried it with a longer ratio (1:17) and it's got very good clarity, notes of peaches, jasmine, strawberry jam and gummies, very sweet.
Surprisingly, I enjoy the decaf Nestor Lasso Ombligon more so than the full caff, I find the full caff to be a bit too fruity/boozy for my taste, whereas the decaf had a good balance, maybe it helps that it was medium light?
I also find the aromas to be super interesting, I get quite a bit of umami notes (reminds me of Kung Pao Chicken), when brewed I got notes of cinnamon, anise, chocolate, feels a bit christmassy to me.
Overall, delicious coffees, fast delivery, and great customer service
